A fantastic choice in town is the colourful Jardín Escondido. This creatively designed hostel has rooms situated around beautiful gardens. The location and secluded feel of the hostel gives guests the best of both worlds. Although just one block from Parque Central and many of Vilcabamb's finest eateries and cafés, the place has truly a relaxed and private ambiance. Within the walls of the "hidden garden" is also a great restaurant with authentic Mexican cuisine as well as pizza, pasta, and curries. Organic products are used and homemade deserts are always fresh.

The many common areas including the pool, outdoor couches, TV lounge, restaurant and bar, provide a perfect atmosphere for hanging out and relaxing. The colorful art, wild gardens, and twinkle lights add to the ambiance and make Jardín Escondido truly a pleasurable place to be.

Various sized rooms all have great lighting and unique designs. All rooms include private bathrooms which are quite arty in themselves.

Some rooms have lofts and can accommodate groups of 6.

Shared rooms with bathrooms are $12.50 and single rooms are $20. All prices include breakfast with homemade bread - served in the outdoor garden restaurant.

A crystal clear pool with footbridge is available to guests.

The funky elevated jacuzzi overlooks the pool and has views of the gardens and surrounding hills. The jacuzzi costs $2 per person and is available with a 4 hour notice.

A lounge area with DVD's and TV is available.

For even more relaxation, massages can be arranged on site.

The outdoor restaurant and bar, which occasionally hosts live music, has a nice laid-back ambiance in the evenings and is available to guests and non-guests.
